Global Platinum + Gold, Inc. Announces Dramatic Improvement in the Purity of Platinum and Gold Sold to Refiner 2-1-2005 SALT LAKE CITY, February 1 /PRNewswire/--The following is being issued by Global Platinum + Gold, Inc. (OTC: GPGI-news): Global is pleased to announce that our refiner has indicated the purity of the platinum and gold received has improved dramatically. Our last shipment of approximately one hundred ounces (half gold/half platinum) was 99.48 % pure gold and 97.5 % pure platinum respectively. The significance of these percentages indicates that with minimal additional effort, Global can produce gold that is close to 99.9% pure or better; and that the earlier difficulties we have had with our platinum production have in large measure been resolved. Global has been negotiating with a major lender for plant and equipment financing, and although no assurance can be given the same will be approved, a decision with respect thereto is imminent. We are confident with plans that are underway to satisfy our working capital requirements as well. The Company submits that it has reached an important milestone; it is ready to start the construction of a plant and commence the actual production of both gold and platinum on a commercially profitable basis; provided the Company’s present financing plans are realized. Undoubtedly changes and improvements will be made to our process, but we are confident in the information and results obtained from our pilot plant operations over the past few months that justify the commencement of commercial operations
